Earth Care Congregation
Presbyterians for Earth Care was founded in 1995 as a national, grassroots organization to support people of faith working towards “environmental wholeness with social justice.” PEC helps the church to fulfill its current environmental policies, to create new policies and practices, and to energize and educate church members about eco-justice, the well-being of all human kind on a thriving earth. New Life was built with Earth Care in mind. Come check out our eco-friendly building and learn about our partnerships to be good stewards of the earth.

La Mesa Partnership
La Mesa Presbyterian Church opened their pantry in 2008 as a food pantry affiliated with the Roadrunner Food Bank system. The pantry is able to help 100's of families per month. New Life regularly donates to this mission of La Mesa.

More Light Congregation

Family Promise Partnership
Family Promise of Albuquerque is a non-profit organization that assists families who are at risk for homelessness, currently experiencing homelessness or recently exiting homelessness. The core of the program is their shelter, where they strive to help as many families with children as possible. No matter how families define their household, where children are concerned, they are there to help. New Life is one of many groups that make meals and has dinner with the families receiving housing through Family Promise.

Cetaly/Endless Mushroom Partnership
This group specializes in optimizing food-grade media for spontaneously immortalized animal cells used to make human food. Heady stuff, we know. New Life shares this focus that in as few as 10-years, humanity could see food shortages at an unprecedented scale due to population growth and shortages in agriculture lands. New Life has partnered with Cetaly/Endless Mushroom by simply letting them use our property to develop new products that promote sustainable food supplies for years to come. Through this parntership we are dreaming up big ideas to actively live out our mission as an "Earth Care Congregation". If this interests you, please contact us. The more ideas the better! Labyrinth at New Life
The outdoor Labyrinth at New Life Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque is an example of the eleven-circuit labyrinths. Our outdoor labyrinth is open to the public every day from dawn to dusk. The labyrinth does not have electric lighting to facilitate night walks. We try very hard to maintain the labyrinth path and keep it free from debris. However, our New Mexican winds happily blow things in from the street. Please be careful. You walk at your own risk. There is never a fee charged for labyrinth walks at New Life, however, donations are always accepted (click donate icon above). Any money collected goes toward the improvement and maintenance of the labyrinth and the surrounding landscaping. Please do not feel obligated to make a donation and enjoy yourself!
